Lavine Residence, San Francisco, CA

Description:
The architect's own home often serves as a guinea pig; a place to experiment with new ideas. The starting point is a ubiquitous mid century row house. Great modern bones and efficient plan, but in dire need of a facelift. Read about it here.

Goals:
Transform a common and humble San Francisco home by working with it's existing qualities. Utilize materials which are uncommon, sustainable and low maintenance. Maximize curb appeal and cost effective methods.
